Neural Manipulation is a hands-on manual therapy focused on how nerves move in relation to surrounding muscles, fascia, joints, and organs. Nerves need room to glide and stretch as the body moves. When a nerve is irritated, restricted, or tethered by surrounding tissue, it may be associated with pain, numbness, tingling, sensitivity, or a change in movement patterns.

A Hands-On Approach

During a session, Reva uses light, specific contact to follow how a nerve and the nearby tissues respond. The work considers whether nerve mobility may be one part of what the person is noticing; it does not assume that every symptom begins at a nerve.

Part of an Integrated Session

Reva does not treat nerves as separate from the rest of the body. A movement pattern may also involve fascia, a joint, an organ, a scar, or the way the nervous system is responding. Neural work can be considered alongside visceral, craniosacral, articular, or other manual approaches, depending on what she finds in the person in front of her.
